Afiya Kristie ( Afiya Kristie Padmore) born and raised in South Trinidad, is a multi talented, Singer/Songwriter. She considers herself eclectic and is majorly influenced by Soca, Ambient Music, Soul and R&B.
She started in the arts at an early age representing her primary school Marabella Girls Anglican in numerous poetry and spoken word competitions. She also sang in her church choir at St. Andrew Kaggwa and represented her home town Vistabella in many best village competitions in song, dance and drama. All this before the age of 11. She continued performing in school events at Gasparillo Composite, where gained more experience in songwriting.
She currently works as a background vocals for other artists at DianJen Recording Studio and is working on new music. She recently released a track entitled Gimme Dat which is a melodic, feel good, groovy soca.
