The Joy of Christmas is the 2020 Christmas Release by Keishea Stewart.
Keishea is no stranger to the Soca music arena. She has performed as a lead vocalist with leading Caribbean bands such as Kalyan, Caribbean Rage, Rucksun, Atlantik, Jamaica-based Byron Lee & the Dragonnaires, Bajan unit, Brass to the world (B2W) and Soca Chutney sensation JMC Treveni.
Keishea is now a member of the Band Roots alongside Dr Pelham Goddard, Russel Cadogan and Tony Prescott. In addition to her local exploits, she has opened at concerts for such stars as Buju Banton, Beres Hammond, Bushman, Sizzla, Morgan Heritage and Lauren Hill.
Her unforgettable Carnival 2000 hit single “Frenchman Jam” a combination of Soca, Zouk, R&B and Reggae influences showcased her versatility in fine style. Complementing these diverse melodic elements, the song’s lyrics are a mixture of English and French phrases. Her performance of that single (a duet with the Songwriter and Producer Vibe) brought her to the forefront of the music scene in Trinidad and Tobago. She then grew in popularity throughout the underground circles of the Caribbean, North America, Europe and China.
This “little lady with the BIG voice” is ready to infuse you with her talent and leave you spellbound in the process.
I marvel at the possibilities of being positive!
My name is Chris Garcia and I was born and bred in the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The date was 29th October, 1961 that the Almighty decided to plant me on Earth. Trinidad is a diverse state, I am mixed with Carib, African and Indian and music has always been my life. So, I say that I am a square peg in a square hole, in other words, I AM HAPPY! The world is unhinged and not favouring LOVE as its fulcrum. My heart yearns to see semblance of sanity. Therefore, the gift which was granted to me shall be used for the soul and sole purpose or attaining perfect harmony. Indeed, I have come to know first hand that we are our own enemy. My music is about WE not ME, inclusive is my mantra. Blessings to ALL and to ALL a BEAUTIFUL life.
